Marina and Castello (historic boroughs): Bastione Saint Remy, Bastione Santa Croce and the Cittadella dei Musei. We highly recommend to visit the Castello borough on foot in order to better enjoy the glimpses this city offers. During your walk you will find the Santa Maria cathedral, the Palazzo Viceregio and lots of little artisans shops. Monte Urpinu. A visit to the Bonaria church and the long beach Poetto is certainly worth it. Not to be missed: the sunset seen from one of the bastion in Castello.
Nora and in the West Coast
The archaeological site of the Punic and Roman city of Nora. (Mandatory guided visit)
Along the road SS 195 you will reach Chia where you can admire several beaches of that coast: Spiaggia Campana, Cala Cipolla, Tuerredda. Going direction Chia - along the road SP 71 - you will reach Teulada and from there you can reach the Is Zuddas Caves. From Chia along the internal SS 195 – Domus de Maria direction – you can easily reach the Is Cannoneris forest a very well-known destination because of its flora and fauna.
